2016 Mar-Lu-Ridge Year End Appeal Letter

Dear Friend,

Your gifts to Mar-Lu-Ridge Camp and Retreat Center are changing lives!  You are helping share God’s unconditional love through your gifts of time and treasure. Thank you!  Please consider continuing to positively impact campers by making a generous year end gift.

We faithfully strive to help campers grow and feel encouraged to be themselves. It is a blessing when a parent writes to let us know we are on the right path:

“I just wanted to write you a note about the great time my daughter had at camp. She made new friends and enjoyed the activities and loved the young adults leading the campers. She is looking forward to coming again next year which will make it five years in a row!” – camper parent

Summer camp brings laughter and stories, skits performed for camp fire, personal challenges that boost self-confidence, and adventures during Area 3 sleep-outs.  Craft projects are found in the rocks around the chapel, a beautiful mural, and the new bench at the archery range.  One camper shared, “I have so much fun at Mar-Lu-Ridge every year and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. The counselors are so much fun and you never meet a camper who doesn’t become your friend.”

Summer camp changes lives.  Mar-Lu-Ridge has a long and rich history, and you can make a difference by supporting our work with your prayers and gifts.

Your gifts allow us to share the unconditional love of Christ with campers from a variety of backgrounds.  For some, camp is the only place they hear about God.  We are committed to serving young people – lifting them up and equipping them to serve others.  Everyone is welcome and accepted just as they are. A parent tells us the thing they value most is camp’s mission of “continuing faith and guidance in my child’s life.”

Thank you for your ongoing part in this ministry and for making a year end gift.  As the Advent season approaches, we wish you joy, time with family and friends, and the presence of Christ in your daily life.

            God’s peace,
