All campers will enjoy daily Bible studies, swimming, small and large group games, delicious food, challenge courses, a pool party, campfires, hikes, cookouts, crafts, worship, new friends, Scales and Tales, Music with Monte and the camp store. Campers under age 10 may also launch bottle rockets and take a hay ride while campers 11 years and older may participate in a zipline, rock climbing, archery, canoeing, night hikes, sports, etc.
Junior & Junior High Camps
A traditional week at Mar-Lu-Ridge is still better than a week anywhere else! In addition to activities listed above, junior campers will have the opportunity to participate in launching bottle rockets, and enjoying other age-based activities. Jr. High campers will tackle some new challenges including archery, night hikes, camping out, rock climbing and/or high ropes.
Senior High Camp
Get connected, strengthen your faith, explore and rejuvenate. Sr. High week has it all: late night games, high ropes/rock climbing, great fellowship, Coffeehouse/talent show, and deeper group discussions about the issues that face today’s Sr. High youth.

Adult Camp
Enjoy three days of fellowship, crafts, Bible Study, evening programs and an off-site excursion. Relax with a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise. Adventure Camp
A week packed with exciting activities that include whitewater rafting, canoeing, hiking, rock climbing, and a high ropes course. Spend a week outdoors, cook over an open fire, and have a ball with old and new friends. This program focuses on individual challenges and group work. This is very popular camp and fills quickly, so hurry to register!
Arts Camp
Campers will create their own performance and have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of arts ranging from singing, dancing, playing instruments, photography, painting, drawing and/or other visual and performing arts. Professional help will be given in some of the activities. At the end of the week, campers even put on a show for the parents!
Civil War Camp
Tour local battlefields and museums, including an overnight trip to Gettysburg in this week-long historic experience. Destinations include Harper’s Ferry and Antietam, though the fun does not stop there. Fort-building and history lessons make for a great week of camp!
Family Camp
After a full and very successful family camp in 2011, we are excited to offer TWO sessions of family camp! Enjoy three days of activities geared towards families as well as some free time to explore the Ridge on your own. Fishing Camp
If you enjoy fishing, you’ll love this week! Bring your fishing gear to learn, practice and enjoy pond, over-night, river and lake fishing with our fishing camp leader, Steve Bagent. Explore our on-site ponds, a local fish hatchery and other local fishing spots. Learn about varieties of fish, knot-tying, bait selection, and weather effects on fishing.
Guitar Camp
Pick up some basic chords or learn your favorite solos during a week of musical fun. A performance for parents will cap off a week of growing musical skills.
Hammock Camp
Spend a week sleeping at different hammock sites on the Ridge. You will enjoy the usual Jr. High activities like rock climbing and/or high ropes, archery, night hikes, swimming, campfires, special evening events and many other unique outdoor activities.
Horseback Camp
Learn basic riding skills, grooming, and general horse care, or sharpen your skills if you’re an experienced rider every morning at North Fork School of Equitation in Jefferson, MD. Five one-hour lessons are included.
Mini Camp
This program is an excellent opportunity to get a taste of the overnight camp experience. Mini Camp is 3 nights and 9 meals (Sunday-Wednesday) with a sample of some of MLR’s great camp activities-swimming, games, arts and crafts, hiking and singing, etc.
Mid-Drift Camp
A chance for friends ages 9-12 to spend a week at camp together. Experience worship, Bible studies, archery, hiking, swimming, campfires, arts and crafts, cookouts, singing, new friends, and lots of games. This program is for friends or siblings of junior and jr. high ages to enjoy camp together in the same program.
Night Owl Camp
This program will let you enjoy a week of great camp experiences with a different twist—stay up later every day, playing games in the dark with a final awake-all-night experience, followed by sunrise worship service to top off the week.
Servants Of Christ (SOC) Camp
This two-week program will focus on service and discipleship in local communities. A week of traditional camp and a week of service projects are bridged by some special weekend experiences.
Solutions & Salamanders Camp
Take a glimpse at the greatness of God’s creation through pond studies, lessons in physics, studying basic reactions, observing animal habitats and discovering predator/prey relationships.
Staff-In-Training (SIT) Program
This program is for those who desire to become MLR staff. Participants will develop the skills, awareness, and experience required to be a high quality, safety-conscious staff member through extensive training for two weeks and then a week shadowing an MLR staffer. An interview is part of the process. (Please fill out and send us the regular Mar-Lu Ridge Summer Camp Registration Form and you will receive follow-up materials in June.)
Swimming Camp
Learn to swim or just improve your skills with a week of daily swim lessons and practice while doing all of the other great camp activities in the afternoon. Bible studies may even be held in or by the pool!
Wandering Work Camp
Campers will spend the week doing adventure activities like biking, canoeing and backpacking while performing service projects throughout the week. Cook meals over an open fire in this new weeklong adventure and service program.
Workers in the Vineyard Camp
Travel off-site to camp out and serve while having a small group experience centered around discipleship and Christian community. Get to know your group members really well while having some unique opportunities to practice stewardship through service.
