Spring Confirmation Retreat 2026
March 20-21 (overnight option) or March 21 (day only option)
Theme – The Potter & the Clay
Our Confirmation Retreat is BACK! Bring confirmands for an interactive day or overnight of fun and learning with other confirmation students from across the Delaware-Maryland and Metro DC Synods.
Confirmation session will center on Jeremiah 18. God is constantly forming and re-forming God’s creation, including us! Through the story of the Potter and the Clay, we will explore the ways God is shaping us into exactly who God created us to be, and how we are God’s beloved, precious children through every step of the journey.
With group building and outdoor activities (team-building, low-ropes course, hiking, and/or archery!) led by trained MLR staff and Confirmation sessions led by Pr. Kristin Hoyer (Holy Trinity, Leesburg, VA), Pr. Josh Wullenweber (New Jerusalem, Lovettsville, VA), and Pr. Doug Ryniewicz (Peace, Alexandria, VA) this retreat is sure to be a hit!
Cost: $50/person for day event (March 21, 8:30-4:30, includes lunch, team-building/outdoor activities, and confirmation programming)
$65/person for overnight (March 20-21, arrival between 6-7 pm; includes overnight cabin accommodations, campfire and devotion, breakfast, lunch, team-building/outdoor activities, and confirmation programming)
Note: Church groups are responsible for providing their own chaperones for supervision – one for every eight campers. For every six campers, one adult can attend for free.
